Nothing brings people together like a great book. Whether for entertainment or self-development, books can help us grow, expand our knowledge, challenge how we think or simply give us a much needed break from a busy day.
That’s why when a few colleagues brought up the idea of starting a Paradigm book club, I was on board! While not a traditional book club in the sense that everyone reads the same book at the same time, the Paradigm book club is a library of books that can be borrowed at any time. The library itself will be built from books other team members have already enjoyed and all you have to do to take part is sign your name in a book once complete. This way, great conversations with fellow book lovers can follow.
So what’s up first on my list? The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin!
With the sunshine and warm weather finally here to stay, there’s nothing better than heading to a patio after work or on the weekend to relax and catch up with friends! Lucky for us, Toronto has some great spots to go out for drinks, brunch or a bite to eat. Some of my favourites include The Pilot, Gusto and El Catrin. If you’re looking for options in the downtown core or either end of the city BlogTo has you covered with its annual patio roundup http://patios.blogto.com/.
