In 2024, Insurance Bureau of Canada set out to raise awareness of how rising legal costs are increasing auto insurance premiums for Alberta drivers.

Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) was calling for a national flood insurance program to address the issue that 10% of Canadian households are unable to access affordable flood insurance. Extreme weather events were increasing and time was running out – if the government did not include funding in its 2024 Budget, it was likely to be put off for another year. IBC and Paradigm developed a high impact campaign to motivate the federal government to announce in the 2024 Budget that it was committing to the funding for a national flood insurance program.

How do you make the federal government take climate change seriously? By proving that the crisis is already here. While governments had been treating climate change as a distant threat, severe weather disasters were already hitting Canadians.. We teamed up with Climate Proof Canada to launch a communications campaign timed for the 2021 federal election, aiming to push the new government towards real action. The result was beyond expectations: the Liberal government not only included all of the coalition’s recommendations in their election platform but also reaffirmed their commitment in the Speech from the Throne.

We worked with the Insurance Bureau of Canada to motivate the Ontario and federal governments to take action through an advocacy campaign that demonstrated the emotional toll and financial impact of auto theft.
